Sacred Mountain

Mountains touch the sky, they are majestic,strong,resilient and inspire an elevated view point of the world. They remain present and unmoved in facing the fiercest of storms. At its peak, the mountain symbolises a state of absolute consciousness, transcendence and ultimate spiritual attainment. This piece was hand-built from professional earthstone. It is decorated with coloured slips, porcelain wash, matt glaze and gold lustre and was sanded down multiple times to achieve a natural appearance, it has locally collected oxides and minerals embedded into the clay body which create very dark flex, natural colour and texture which I love.
