Ancient Tree Dreaming of Flowers

This piece has the wonderful energy of that place between worlds, the place of dreaming. It was inspired by a beautiful tree that I encountered during a walk in a forest. It was old and beckoned time, it made me think about all the things it had seen and of how much the world must have changed since it was a sapling. It is a symbol of strength and perseverance. Hand-built in porcelain, painted with lightly coloured porcelain slips,underglazes and tiny bits of gold lustre.
